Volunteer Solutions, UWMB, allows non-profits to post their organization information, volunteer positions, and Board openings online for free. Volunteer Solutions is a nonprofit volunteer-matching organization founded in 1997 by a group of Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) students who developed an exciting website, supported by a comprehensive database of volunteer opportunities. They also help recruit volunteers and promote opportunities through mailings to over 800 businesses, schools, libraries, and individuals as well as the internet and volunteer fairs. They provide effective, low-cost volunteer management training, plus on-site, individualized consultations for nonprofit managers. They also offer board development through BoardBank. |
